My Ride
I finally got back on the bike after a long, snowy winter. Of course, for commuting, I have an extra set of rims with slick commuting tires. Makes a huge difference on the road.
Now I just have to wait for the trails to dry out. Training for the 24 hours of Summer Solstice in June.

Sanctuary
Having attended St. Michael's Choir School from grade 3 to 12, and travelled to many places with the choir when the school toured, there is an attachment I feel with the school, St. Michael's Cathedral, and with most of the teachers that have taught me over the course of my schooling there.
Kathleen Mann was one such teacher that had an impact on my growth from the time I entered St. Michael's to well after I had left. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had a tremendous impact to both the academic and musical growth of all the students that attended St. Michael's Choir School. She had an amazing keen eye for talent and always knew just the right way to bring it out and teach us to harness that.
I feel priviledged to have been taught by her.

Celtic Cross
I received some sad news... My brother-in-law's mother passed away on Sunday morning, leaving him, his sister and their father. She will be missed by both her immedite and extended families.
I was also saddened by the news that a dear teacher had passed peacefully on Saturday. She was selfless in her dedication to a school that so much talent has originated from. The likes of Michael Burgess, Michael Colvin, Michael Schade, Matt Dusk, Kevin Hearn, The Four Lads, conductors, church organists, violinists, pianists, opera singers, choir directors and the Junior, Senior and Tenor and Bass choirs being associated with St. Michael's Cathedral providing the music programme. St. Michael's Choir has performed all over the world and for audiences of all types including the Pope and royalty.
Kathleen Mann has touched so many lives through her devotion that she will be sorely missed. I am so appreciative to have been taught by her both academically and through her involvement with the choral programme, as so many others have been as well. I credit who I am today because of her compassion, kindness, passion and her very nature.
